(Used for Tiffin Year 9 scheme of work) Covers 6 different methods of factorising quadratics and other types of expressions (e.g. cubics), the last two of which are extension: (a) Factorising out a single term (b) Factorising expressions of the form x^2 + bx + c, (c) Difference of two squares (d) Expressions of the form ax^2 + bx + c (where a is not 1) , (e) 'Intelligent guessing' (e.g. bx - x + ab - a = (x + a)(b - 1)) and (f) Pairwise factorisation. Includes expressions which require multiple types of factorisation.

In my opinion the appearance of the slides is spectacular. The information was magnificent. The questions were so good that I would dab for those questions

Very good material sir but there seems to be a mistake on Exercise 1 question 4 answer. Just wanted to let you know.

Thank you so much for your wonderful material. Just notices in the Yr9 Easier Factorisation Homework Question no 4 cannot be factorised

on slide 6 whenever i press back a random question box appears otu of nowhere and it has nothing underneath it

Thank you so much for sharing your resources, spotted a minor error on Y9 Factorising quadratics ppt. Type 5 is Pairwise on the master sheet but dealt with as type 6. Intelligent guesswork is part 6 but dealt with as type 5. Thanks again
